What Is an Energy Audit?
The goal of an energy audit is to help homeowners reduce energy consumption while improving comfort, health and safety of the people living in the home. Recommendations from your energy audit provide a blueprint for making smart purchases and home improvements that maximize energy efficiency and save the most money.
Our auditors are RESNET trained and Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified. They use specialized equipment and techniques to evaluate your home and make recommendations. You will receive a comprehensive report that includes all elements of the “building envelope” – walls, ceilings, floors, windows, doors and much more. For each of these components, the area resistance to heat flow is measured to search for the leakage rate or infiltration of air.
Some of the greatest effects on energy usage are behavior – so we take a peek at your energy billing history too.

Success from Solar Energy World
Joe Wateski and his crew from Solar Energy World are fantastic. They really care about their customers and the homes in which they work. After performing a thorough energy audit, Joe helped me prioritize which projects would have the biggest impact in my 100+ year old home with several additions. After his crews and subcontractors finished, my energy bills dropped by about a third. More importantly, the house has more comfortable and consistent temperatures throughout instead of a few overly warm and other very cold rooms. I highly recommend Solar Energy World.
