Solar Showroom at Solar Energy World in Maryland

Solar Energy World, Maryland’s fastest growing, independently owned solar company officially opened Maryland’s first and only solar panel showroom at their company headquarters in Elkridge on June 22, 2017. Company owners created the showroom to build upon their goal to make solar more accessible to local homeowners.

“We are proud and excited to be the only solar company in Maryland to give homeowners an exclusive opportunity to see our products, roof top solar system and daily operations in person.”, stated Geoff Mirkin, Solar Energy World’s CEO.

Close to 200 people attended the solar panel showroom’s Grand Opening and consisted of Solar Energy World customers and homeowners who are interested in going solar. “The large response we received to this event proves to us that Maryland needed a solar panel showroom. Every day we see more and more homeowners who are interested in going solar.” states Laureen Peck, Vice President of Marketing for Solar Energy World. (Scroll down to view event photos.)

During the ribbon cutting ceremony, Vikki Garcia, Howard County Outreach Specialist for Senator John P. Sarbanes presented Tope Lala with a House of Representatives Certificate of Special Recognition. Other honored guests included loyal customer Delegate Benjamin Brooks, Dede Glassband of Maryland Public Television, Wyatt Everhart of WMAR-TV, and Martha Palmer of WBAL-TV.

After the ribbon cutting, guests were invited to a reception where they enjoyed Solar Energy World’s special Sun Punch and snacks while they toured the facility’s warehouse and its 40.7 kW rooftop solar power system specially designed and installed by Solar Energy World employees. Guests were also treated to door prize drawings that included dinner for two at the Elkridge Furnace Inn.

In addition, Solar Energy World officially launched RateGuardian™ with a 6 foot tall display of its mascot. RateGuardian is Solar Energy World’s new PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) that allows homeowners go solar for zero to lock in a low electricity rate. RateGuardian was well-received as several guests signed up for a complimentary home solar analysis after learning more about the new PPA.

Solar shoppers are invited to visit the new showroom between 9AM-5PM weekdays to see samples of quality, name brand panel options up close, pick up educational literature, tour the roof top solar system and get answers from the knowledgeable staff of experts without waiting for a workshop or booking an appointment.

Since 2009, Solar Energy World has been leading Maryland’s green jobs growth with approximately 100 new installations every month.
