You won’t find Richard Marquez scoring goals on the soccer field this year.  His new goal is to help homeowners switch to solar power.  Recently, Marquez began working as a Solar Analyst for Solar Energy World, a leading provider and installer of solar panel systems in the Mid-Atlantic region. Marquez now serves the residential solar market in New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Prior to playing for the Philadelphia Union,  Marquez was a four-year starter for the University of Redlands Bulldogs soccer team where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders.  He believes his university studies coupled with his sports experience makes him uniquely qualified to communicate about the benefits of solar power to homeowners in the area.

“As a professional soccer player for five years with the Philadelphia Union, I had the opportunity to meet people from all over the world with different cultures and was able to share many wondrous memories.” notes Marquez. “I am passionate about solar because I enjoy helping people save money while making a positive impact on the environment. The joy I see in my clients makes it all worth it.”

“I was very impressed with Richie’s track record on and off the soccer field.” says Will McColley, Vice President of Sales of Solar Energy World. “I could tell right away that he was sharp, energetic and very interested in renewable energy. We couldn’t be more excited to have him join our team to help shine the light on the benefits of solar for our community.”
