Solar Energy World Joins Virginia’s Budding Solar Market

Due to Virginia’s increasing consumer demand for cleaner energy and new, favorable state renewable energy goals, Solar Energy World is expanding to serve more homeowners in select areas of Northern Virginia.

Founded in Maryland in 2009, with solar installations now topping 140 systems a month, Solar Energy World is quickly becoming the regional leader for superior solar system design. In addition to serving customers in the MD/DC metro area, the company expanded into Pennsylvania in 2017 and Southern New Jersey in 2018.

Solar Energy World is kicking off its expansion into The Old Dominion, with a new, community-based initiative program designed for the Virginia market. Through a competitive proposal process Solar Energy World was selected by Solarize NOVA this year to install solar panels for VA homeowners in the cities and towns of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church and Vienna, and Fairfax County, Virginia.  Homeowners can contact Solar Energy World directly to get more information about the co-op or learn about other special offers for Northern Virginia residents.

Committed to protecting the environment and promoting clean, renewable energy, Solar Energy World provides sustainable energy solutions for homeowners that include high quality products guaranteed to operate efficiently and remain safe for the environment over their entire lifetime.

While the majority of VA’s solar growth is projected to be utility scale solar, the nearly vertical growth of distributed solar from 5.7 MW in 2014 to 50.5 MW in 2018 – over 196% growth per year – looks likely to continue beyond the phase-out of the federal Investment Tax Credit.
