Laureen joined Solar Energy World January of 2012. She is responsible for the ongoing planning and implementation of the company’s marketing communications strategy and for managing the inside-sales and marketing teams. Laureen takes a new business development approach toward marketing and sales, developing, executing and optimizing sales and marketing tactics that will motivate people to take immediate positive action. One of Laureen’s ongoing goals for Solar Energy World is to create marketing communications that are more inclusive and engaging. Since heading up marketing for Solar Energy World, the percentage of solar evaluations completed per month has tripled and the percentage of women requesting solar evaluations has increased from 35% of all inquiries to 51% .
Laureen’s new business development expertise grew out of her 18 years of experience building business for marketing communications agencies where she created new relationships with marketing decision-makers at targeted companies, led pitch teams and developed marketing campaign strategies for the new clients she and her team acquired. She was instrumental in launching new marketing campaigns for companies including Honeywell Utilities Solutions, BGE’s PeakRewards(TM) (energy saving program), SunEdison, FirstEnergy (Energy Savings and Energy Efficiency Programs), Constellation Energy Services (Renewable energy services, Energy Efficiency and Energy Retrofitting) Strayer University, Aegon, Stonebridge Life, Sunny Delight, Seventh Generation, Stonyfield Farms, National Geographic, Vita Foods, WellPet Inc., Del Monte, Suncoast Beverage Company, AARP, Southern California Edison, Tyco ADT, Kraft Foods, Procter & Gamble and other industry leaders. Laureen is a board member of the Howard County Green Business Council former board member of the Baltimore Chapter of the American Marketing Association, and President Ex-Officio of Women in Film and Video of Maryland. She has a BA in Visual and Performing Arts and a minor in Sociology from UMBC. Laureen grew up in Ellicott City Maryland and lives in the Randallstown area with her husband, Joel.
