Every Solar Installation Solar Energy World Completes Now Helps Save Kids’ Lives

On November 16, 2020, our company announced that it has pledged to help bring life-saving solar-powered water purification farms to developing countries by donating a portion of the profits from every solar panel installation we complete to the world-renown GivePower* Foundation.

Three out of ten people on our planet don’t have access to clean water in their homes. Waterborne disease is actually the biggest killer in the world. In developing countries dirty water kills a child every 90 seconds.** To combat this, GivePower builds innovative solar-powered water purification systems in regions where waterborne disease is rampant.

Each solar-powered water farm produces up to 70,000 liters of clean water a day, providing enough drinking water for up to 35,000 children and their parents a day.  Solar Energy World’s donations will help provide the necessary funding to construct and install these life-saving solar water farms.

This new corporate responsibility program supports our company’s brand pledge to help more people go solar for the good of our planet and families everywhere.

“Our company’s mission has been to provide clean, solar power to people in the communities we serve to foster financial and environmental security for their children and grandchildren.” states Geoff Mirkin, CEO of Solar Energy World.  “Now we can more fully live up to our motto, ‘Go solar today because tomorrow matters’ because together with our GivePower partner we will have a positive impact on people’s lives globally as well as locally.”
