“I became interested in renewables in general — and solar power specifically — when I learned about the risk posed by climate change. There was a time when the only reason to go solar was to help the environment. Today, the economics have changed dramatically and solar power is not just cleaner power – it is also cheaper power! ”

Peter Belman

President/CEO

After earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, Peter held executive-level marketing roles with Sprint PCS and AT&T Wireless affiliates. By 2015, he had learned enough about the impact of climate change to make the switch to renewable energy— which led him to SolarCity. There he went on to become Regional Sales Director for the Mid-Atlantic & Northeastern states at SolarCity (which became Tesla Energy), selling and installing solar energy systems on over 10,000 homes. In 2019 he joined Solar Energy World as President, Direct Energy. Peter and his family currently reside in Montgomery County.
